Sisters In the Brotherhood

Sisters in the Brotherhood

Known internationally as the Sisters In The Brotherhood (SIB) we strive to stengthen the brotherhood with men and women by helping to build the bridge to our future.

We are union carpenters and millrights who just happen to be women. We complete the same tasks on the job as men. We walk on to the jobsite in the morning – we are all the same – CARPENTERS. We all have different strengths and weaknesses as we complete the various tasks of our trade. To explore those tasks…Our Varied Trade

One of the ways we strengthen our brotherhood is with our GEAR-UP recruitment. Watch our prototype video. If you or someone you know may be interested in having us "GEAR-UP" for your group, please contact one of our members.

Sisterhood has its perks – we play as hard as we work. We come together to unite and support each other internationally. The international training center hosted female carpenters, millwrights, and pile drivers for a conference in January 2015. We attended seminars and caucuses. We learned that there are many other women in the trade.
